The 2023 Irrigation Show and Education Week offers attendees the opportunity to gain fundamental and practical skills, access cutting-edge research and learn business best practices shared by experts during the event’s Industry Insights track.

One of those sessions, “Telling Our Story: Communicating the Value of Irrigation,” is hosted by Nathan Bowen, the Irrigation Association’s advocacy and public affairs vice president.

Bowen says the session will immerse industry stakeholders in the art of communicating irrigation’s value.

“We want attendees to leave empowered, with a narrative that resonates beyond our industry,” he says. “It’s about equipping professionals with the tools to effectively communicate the critical role of irrigation in sustaining the environment and economy.”

Bowen emphasized the importance of the session, highlighting its role in linking the benefits of irrigated green spaces to the broader narrative. He underscored the necessity for irrigation professionals to effectively convey the significance of their work, which encompasses water conservation and the improvement of green spaces, in the face of public misconceptions and regulatory hurdles.

“It’s essential for our industry to come together and convey the positive impacts of irrigation. This session aims to unify our voices and highlight the professionalism that drives us to create sustainable, efficient solutions,” he says.

Industry Insights are available at no cost to Irrigation Show and Education Week attendees.
