The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Washington, D.C., presented the 2023 WaterSense Sustained Excellence, Partner of the Year and Excellence Award winners during the WaterSmart Innovations Conference Oct. 3-5.
The EPA honored 13 entities with the Sustained Excellence Award, nine with the Partner of the Year Award and 25 with the Excellence Award for their contributions in 2022 which led to an annual water savings of 1.1 trillion gallons.
The 2023 WaterSense Sustained Excellence Award winners include Athens-Clarke County Public Utilities Department in Georgia, Citrus County Utilities in Florida, City of Charlottesville in Virginia, City of Durham Water Management in North Carolina, City of Plano in Texas, City of Sacramento Department of Utilities in California, Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District, Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District, Upper San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District in California, Fulton Homes, KB Home, Kohler Co. and the Sonoma-Marin Saving Water Partnership in California.
The 2023 WaterSense Partners of the Year are Harris-Galveston Subsidence District in Texas, Houston Public Works, Rancho California Water District, Santa Clara Valley Water District in California, Tarrant Regional Water District in Texas, Vallecitos Water District in California, Sonoma-Marin Saving Water Partnership, Niagara and The Home Depot.
The 2023 WaterSense Excellence Award winners include Big Bear Lake Department of Water and Power in California, Irvine Ranch Water District in California, Kearns Improvement District in Utah, Monte Vista Water District in California, San Diego County Water Authority in California, The Toro Company, Sacramento Suburban Water District in California, Cobb County Water System in Georgia, Department of Water in County of Kaua‘i, Hawaii, Alameda County Water District in California, California Water Service Company, City of Flagstaff in California, City of Tucson/Tucson Water in Arizona, Marin Municipal Water District in California, Metropolitan Council in Minnesota, San Dieguito Water District in California, Tampa Bay Water in Florida, Utah Division of Water Resources, Smart Rain, Hunter Industries, Alliance for Water Efficiency, American Water, G3 or Green Gardens Group in Los Angeles, SCV Water in Santa Clarita Valley, California and Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.
