Jobber, Edmonton, Alberta, will host its virtual, second annual 2022 Professional Development Day for home service businesses from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 16. Through speakers and networking opportunities, the free event aims to improve small business owners and management teams’ business and leadership skills.
“We were so humbled by the feedback we received from the thousands of home service professionals who attended Jobber PD Day 2021 that we knew we had to bring it back for a second year,” says Sam Pillar, CEO and co-founder of Jobber. “Our roster of world-class speakers and panelists will offer the home service community fresh perspectives and insights, equipping them with the tools they need to continue driving their business success.”
This year, retired U.S. Navy SEAL Officer and best-selling author Jocko Willink and ABC’s “Shark Tank” star Daymond John will serve as the keynote speakers.
Willink will dive into ownership leadership principles that business owners and team leaders can use to find success. Using his own experiences as a CEO of FUBU and The Shark Group, John will provide successful business strategies and discuss positive qualities and downfalls that set entrepreneurs apart.
Jobber’s 2022 Professional Development Day will be broken into three tracks, including people, profit and process. More than 20 speakers will provide their insight on a range of topics. Speakers include:
- Sara Bendrick, landscape designer/contractor, TV host and Stihl spokesperson
- Timisha Porcher, founder of ToolBox Diva
- Chat Singvongsa of Chat’s Daily Hustle
- Katrina Teeple, founder and CEO of Operation Organization
- Mike Coffey, owner of Coffey Custom Builds
- Sara McAllister, CEO of GoCleanCo and social media influencer
- Kurt Stenberg, owner of Cochrane Tree Care
Additionally, Jobber PD Day 2021 speaker, entrepreneur and author Mike Michalowicz will return this year for a session with Adrienne Dorison. From their joint venture Run Like Clockwork, the two will teach attendees how to shift their mindset, culture and processes to craft a profitable, supportive business.
