NYSERDA sprinkler standards go into effect June 26

New spray sprinkler regulations as passed down by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority go into effect June 26.  
The standards were adopted on Dec. 28, 2022, and require lawn spray sprinklers to align with WaterSense V1.0.

The standards were adopted on Dec. 28, 2022, and require lawn spray sprinklers to align with specifications set by the WaterSense program. WaterSense is a program of the Environmental Protection Agency, Washington, D.C.  

Among the requirements established by the regulation, spray sprinklers sold in the state must meet the requirements of the WaterSense Specification for Spray Sprinkler Bodies Version 1.0.

The regulations apply to products sold in the state after the effective date of June 26.
