Teeing off on water conservation: IA to host golf course water use webinar

The Irrigation Association will host a one-hour webinar Oct. 26 titled “Six Questions Every Golf Course Should be Asking About Water Use.”  
The presentation covers six basic questions every golf facility should address regarding golf course water requirements and site-specific best management practices.

The Irrigation Association, Fairfax, Virginia, will host a one-hour webinar Oct. 26 titled “Six Questions Every Golf Course Should be Asking About Water Use.”   

The webinar will discuss six basic questions every golf facility should address regarding golf course water requirements and site-specific best management practices to meet long-range and short-term goals for water conservation while meeting expectations for course conditioning. This webinar will also discuss various issues affecting golf course water use and supply and highlight research, technology and resources golf courses (and landscape managers) can use to help improve water use efficiency. 

The webinar will feature Pat Gross, owner of Pat Gross Turf Solutions LLC, who also works with the Ewing Irrigation & Landscape Supply Golf Segment. He served 28 years as the Western region agronomist for the USGA Green Section, where irrigation and water issues are a persistent concern.   

Attendees can register online for the event. The cost is $35 for members and $50 for non-members.
