The Toro Company Foundation announced a $50,000 donation to support the 2026 Rounds 4 Research (R4R) program, continuing more than a decade of funding turfgrass research through the GCSAA Foundation. With this latest contribution, Toro’s support for R4R totals approximately $700,000 over 14 years. GCSAA launched the initiative in 2012 and has raised nearly $5 million since then.

Rounds 4 Research helps close the funding gap that exists in turfgrass research by auctioning off donated rounds of golf. The proceeds are directed to GCSAA chapters and turfgrass foundations to support research projects that will significantly impact their local areas. The 2026 online auction will take place April 20-26, 2026.

GCSAA leaders credit Toro’s ongoing partnership with helping sustain the program and fuel its growth by supporting work that enhances the golf industry. In addition to financially supporting Rounds 4 Research, Toro is a GCSAA Platinum Partner and has donated nearly $2.8 million over nearly four decades to support the future of the industry through research, education and scholarship.
