Project Evergreen announces the return of You Move, We Mow Challenge. The nationwide fundraiser supports military families through the nonprofit’s GreenCare for Troops program and is part of GreenCare for Troops Awareness Month.
Challenge participants commit to completing 20,000 steps during June 21-27, 2026, to contribute to fundraising efforts that provide free lawncare and landscape services for deployed service member families.
Monies raised through the challenge help:
- provide lawncare and landscape services to more military families in need.
- support a growing national network of volunteer lawn and landscape professionals.
- ensure consistent, high-quality care for outdoor spaces that families rely on every day.
Industry professionals can also sign up to donate their time and services to the program, which helps ease the burden of home upkeep during deployment.
“Every step taken in this challenge helps ease the load for a military family at home,” said Ki Matsko, program manager for GreenCare for Troops, in a written statement on Project Evergreen’s website. “It’s a simple act with a meaningful outcome – turning movement into measurable support.”
