Matco-Norca, Brewster, New York, has joined together with Plumbers Without Borders to help PWB’s mission of improving health and increasing access to safe water and sanitation in all communities worldwide. Through the partnership, Matco-Norca will devise a strategy with PWB that crosses digital, traditional and event marketing to mobilize and connect volunteer plumbers and industry resources with key organizations and projects.

“For us, it was more than just donating once or twice to a cause,” says Amy Zucchi, director of marketing at Matco-Norca. “We wanted to partner with an organization so we could roll up our sleeves and make a difference beyond simply writing a check. When you work with PWB, you get to have input into the initiative you are supporting.”

Matco-Norca’s sponsorship will support an industry-wide initiative of bridging gender parity in the trades and closing the skills gap worldwide.

“Our employees are looking forward to rolling up their sleeves and getting involved on multiple levels,” says Zucchi.

One of PWB’s current projects is providing relief efforts through its Tornadoes USA Fund to those affected by the recent tornadoes that struck Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Tennessee and Wisconsin. Matco-Norca is using distribution centers, rep agencies and customers across the U.S. and abroad to reach thousands of companies able to continue PWB’s efforts.

“The generosity of plumbers, everywhere, is astounding … with so many wanting to contribute their skills and time to help where needed most,” says Domenico DiGregorio, co-founder of PWB. “Our quest is finding projects that can best utilize and leverage the value of professional plumbers.”
