Ruppert Landscape, Laytonsville, Maryland, has opened a new branch in Alpharetta, Georgia, joining its two other Georgia-located landscape management branches in Lilburn and Mableton. Leading Ruppert’s new location will be Stephen DeWeese, who was recently promoted to branch manager.

DeWeese will oversee the overall welfare of Ruppert’s new Georgia branch, as well as the safety and development of his team, strategic planning and budgeting, training, customer service and day-to-day operations.

“Stephen has been a huge asset in helping to grow our brand in the Atlanta market over the last decade,” says Steve Faber, region manager. “In his most recent role as associate branch manager in Lilburn, he was instrumental in growing the team and readying them to take on this new opportunity. He and his team have worked hard —with the help of our IT and accounting teams — to establish this branch and begin operating independently starting the first of this year. We are looking forward to serving the Alpharetta community under Stephen’s strong leadership.”

With over 23 years of experience in the industry, DeWeese started the first decade of his career leading another prominent landscaping company. He joined Ruppert’s Lilburn branch as its area manager in 2009.

A two-time recipient of Ruppert’s Branch Impact Award, DeWeese was promoted to associate branch manager in 2020.

He received his bachelor’s degree in horticulture from the University of Georgia.

Ruppert’s Alpharetta branch will mainly serve clients in north Fulton County and offer grounds management/contract services, design and landscape enhancement, turf care, irrigation system management, pond and lake management, arbor care, snow and ice management, lighting and holiday decorations.

With the new opening, Ruppert seeks to fill positions including area manager, field manager, assistant field manager and crew member.

“Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our team and the loyalty and trust of our customers, we have been able to grow our presence in the Atlanta market enough to dictate an additional branch,” Faber says. “This market density will allow us to continue providing excellent care to our existing customers while supporting new growth in the region. No less importantly, it will allow us to provide more growth opportunities for our employees.”
