College students pursuing a degree in landscape management, lawn care or horticulture are eligible to apply for the GIE Media 2026 Richard Foster Award. The recipient receives a $2,500 scholarship to support their education. Eligible applicants must be enrolled in a two- or four-year college or university and working toward a degree in horticulture, turfgrass management, agronomy, environmental science or another green industry-related field.
Applicants are required to submit academic transcripts, two letters of recommendation, a resume detailing relevant experience and activities and a 750-word essay outlining their personal and professional goals, including examples of leadership and community involvement.
