The Toro Company, Bloomington, Minnesota, will continue its sponsorship of Major League Fishing for a second year, partnering with MLF on tournaments and events throughout 2022.
“Toro’s partnership with Major League Fishing was a natural fit from the start, and we can’t wait to build on the momentum we established together in 2021,” says Greg Janey, Toro vice president of residential and landscape contractor and Center for Technology, Research and Innovation. “We share in the fishing fandom alongside our customer base and are excited to continue our investment in this thrilling sport and partnering with #TeamToroMLF – Jeff Sprague and Brent Chapman.”
Toro became the exclusive lawn mower provider of the MLF Bass Pro Tour in 2021, and supported several events throughout the year, including a spring clean up event led by Toro-sponsored pro anglers Jeff Sprague and Brent Chapman to provide lawncare support to a wounded veteran. In 2022, Toro will continue to sponsor Sprague and Chapman as its official brand ambassadors while they compete across the country on the 2022 Bass Pro Tour.
The company was also the title sponsor of the Bass Pro Tour Stage Two and will continue its “Toro Cut Line” feature during the Bass Pro Tour competition. The segment showcases anglers who are on the elimination bubble at each event, and features digital, social, streaming and broadcast engagement. Additionally, Toro will be a participant at the upcoming Redcrest Expo in conjunction with the Redcrest tournament.
“At the end of the day, Major League Fishing and Toro have a very important thing in common –a love of the outdoors,” says Jim Wilburn, MLF president and CEO. “Partnering with Toro allows us to support MLF fans and anglers in all the ways they enjoy the great outdoors – whether they’re fishing or working in their backyard.”
