Leading with intention

Success in irrigation has never depended on technology alone. The real difference comes from the professionals who design, install, manage and maintain systems — applying knowledge and field experience to use water efficiently, deliver reliable performance and provide stewardship as conditions and expectations change.

Across much of the country, drought conditions and water restrictions have forced property owners, businesses and municipalities to think differently about managing water resources. At the same time, new approaches to water reuse are creating opportunities to build resilience and make better use of available resources. Together, they reflect a broader shift toward more strategic and resilient water management.

Whether professionals are choosing the right technology, improving water-management practices, helping customers navigate changing regulations or designing outdoor lighting for safety, function and reduced unintended impacts, they bring knowledge and experience to each decision. That expertise helps turn new ideas into practical results across the green industry.

That’s what we recognized and celebrated during Smart Irrigation Month in July: the people and businesses that put irrigation expertise into practice every day. By sharing their stories on how their work advising customers, sharing best practices and delivering solutions that support healthy landscapes and efficient water use, they demonstrated the value we bring to communities across the country.

Investing in the people who deliver that value also means creating opportunities for professionals to keep building their skills, exchanging ideas and learning from one another. The 2026 Irrigation Show and Education Week, Dec. 7–10 in Las Vegas, brings those opportunities together through education, professional development and connections across the industry.

In a changing water environment, that commitment to learning, stewardship and professional leadership will continue to define the impact we make together.
