The Equip Exposition, scheduled to take place Oct. 18-21 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky, expanded its outdoor demo yard where attendees can test new equipment to about 30 acres. Equip Expo is owned by the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute, Alexandria, Virginia.

Equip Expo’s outdoor demo yard hours will start earlier this year with additional hours from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 19. The demo yard will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 20 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 21.

“As the industry innovates, more technology is being introduced into landscape care and planning,” says Kris Kiser, president and CEO of OPEI. “The outdoor demo yard is where you can see and try the newest developments in our industry — from the latest robotic and zero-turn mowers to the toughest UTVs. Additionally, changing regulations in California are forcing sizable shifts in what equipment can be sold and used, and Equip Exposition is the best place to see and get a hands-on experience with the equipment of the future.”

The “UTV driving experience” will also make its return for this year’s show, where attendees can drive and compare the latest vehicles. Attendees 16 or older with a valid driver’s license will be able to drive alongside a representative of the manufacturer who can answer questions about load capacity, features, price and more.
