Franklin Electric Co., Fort Wayne, Indiana, presented a series of outstanding achievement awards during its annual commercial summit. The summit serves as an opportunity for Franklin Electric to provide strategic planning, perform educational training and celebrate sales and service achievements from the previous year across the company’s American and Canadian water operations through awards.

The following received an award for outstanding performance, sales and customer support from Franklin Electric:

  • Jimmy Vela: Field salesperson of the year

For 25 years, Vela moved his way from field service in Mexico and Central America, to field service in Texas and finally to territory management with Franklin Electric in 2004. In 2021, Vela made sure to provide on-site training and dealer support whenever his customers needed it. He’s also an active member of the Texas Ground Water Association.

  • Ryan Horner: Field service engineer of the year

Throughout his New England territory, Horner is known for maintaining a unique point of view, wide knowledge and proficient service, coupled with his expertise as an electrical engineer. He frequently works with the territory managers to collaborate and problem-solve.

  • US South Central Region: Team of the year

Led by Darol Hayes, the South Central team consisted of Chase Ellsworth, Dave Batdorff, Erasmo Barron, Ilse Gallegos, Jennifer Ford, Jesse Zwiebel, Jimmy Vela, Hannah Kiningham and Woody Kunkel. The team provided noteworthy service and results across its area, overcoming circumstances of difficulty. The team is known for its desire to help whenever possible and for providing extensive training and support. They are also actively involved in local associations and groundwater organizations to promote the industry’s future.
