NALP opens Elevate expo session proposals

The National Association of Landscape Professionals, Fairfax, Virginia, is now permitting session proposal submissions for its new annual conference and expo, Elevate. Formerly known as Landscapes and GIE, Elevate will take place Sept. 18-21 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Conference Center in Orlando, Florida.

The event will feature education sessions that focus on five tracks, spanning customer experience, team member experience, business excellence, operational excellence and sustainability.

Those with new ideas, solutions or innovations solving current issues and challenges experienced by landscape and lawn care companies can submit a session proposal to NALP to speak at Elevate by March 4.

Presentations must be educational and cannot be a sales pitch or commercial presentation. Suppliers who submit proposals are encouraged to co-present with a landscape or lawn care contractor.

The following information must be included in a proposal:

  • Session title and description
  • Preferred session format
  • Learning objectives/key takeaways
  • Speaker information, including contact information, photo and brief bio in 125 words or less
  • Speakers are encouraged, but not required, to provide a link to a short introduction video or a video of a prior speaking engagement. Link must be accessible to anyone for review.

Proposals will be reviewed by NALP’s Elevate program committee using the following criteria:

  • Relevance to current issues and challenges in the industry
  • Well-written and clearly articulated submission materials with achievable learning objectives
  • Speaker qualifications
  • Provides useful information that is actionable for attendees
  • Appropriate for an intermediate or advanced professional audience

Speakers will not be paid and must register for Elevate. Those selected to speak will be notified no later than April 22.

Visit NALP’s website for more information and to submit a proposal for Elevate.
