Takeuchi-US, Atlanta, Georgia, is preparing to open its first North American manufacturing facility located in Moore, South Carolina. The new facility will produce compact track loaders and will employ about 100 people.
The new, 156,000-square-foot production facility and stand-alone office building will allow Takeuchi to shrink compact track loader production lead time for its North American customers and improve its ability to meet market needs.
“Takeuchi has experienced its greatest demand for compact track loaders right here in North America,” says Jeff Stewart, president of Takeuchi-US. “That’s why manufacturing these highly sought-after machines right here in the U.S. simply makes sense. It will be faster and more efficient than shipping them from one of our overseas manufacturing facilities, and we can then pass on those efficiencies to our dealers and their customers.”
Compact track loader production at Takeuchi’s new manufacturing facility is estimated to commence by the end of 2022. Takeuchi plans to start hiring for all positions in March 2022.
