The International Association of Horticultural Products, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom, announced the finalists of its International Grower of the Year Awards 2022, where nine ornamental growers across the globe progressed to the final.
AIPH’s IGOTY contest recognizes the top performers in horticulture by ornamental production nurseries and celebrate their growing prowess.
“I am delighted that we have partnered with GreenTech and have the opportunity to present an exciting new format for presenting our awards this year,” says AIPH Secretary General Tim Briercliffe. “This is set to be a great event with high-quality finalists from around the world; the perfect way for the industry to come together.”
Led by Boningale Nurseries Chairman Tim Edwards, an international jury of industry experts assessed the submitted entries on economic performance, innovation, market insight, sustainability and human resources.
AIPH’s 2022 contest consists of four categories: finished plants and trees, cut flowers and bulbs, young plants and sustainability. Each category offers bronze, silver and gold awards. One participant will receive the AIPH International Grower of the Year 2022 award and be given the “gold rose” prize.
IGOTY 2022 winners will be announced at an award ceremony at RAI Amsterdam June 14. Tickets cost €50 per person. Discounted tickets for groups are available. Visit the AIPH website to register.
