IA announces 2025 scholarship winners

The scholarship program supports students pursuing careers in irrigation, agriculture and water management.
Twelve students were awarded scholarships through the Irrigation Association’s Anthony W. “Tony” LaFetra Scholarship Program.

The Irrigation Association has announced the recipients of its 2025 scholarships through the Anthony W. “Tony” LaFetra Scholarship Program. 

Two students were selected as Anthony W. “Tony” LaFetra Scholars: 

  • Tatiana Avila, California Polytechnic State University 
  • Natalia Panova, Las Positas College 

Ten additional students were awarded scholarships: 

  • Gracie Chavez, California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo 
  • Andrick Delgadillo, Schreiner University 
  • Patrick McLoughlin, University of Florida 
  • Jade Meichtry, California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo 
  • Jesse O’Brien, Cuyahoga Community College 
  • Andres Orozco, Foothill College 
  • Melanie Orozco Gonzalez, California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo 
  • Avery Pope, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign 
  • Alejandro Ramirez, University of California, Davis 
  • Tyler Stewart, Brigham Young University 

The scholarship program supports students pursuing careers in irrigation, agriculture and water management. A full list of past recipients is available on the Irrigation Association’s website.
