A new industry survey is seeking input from floral professionals across the United States to better understand barriers and communication challenges related to sustainability in the floral industry. Led by Dr. Melinda Knuth at NC State University in partnership with the American Floral Endowment for the Sustainabloom Program. The research aims to identify barriers, motivations and communication preferences related to sustainability adoption.
The survey is open to growers, wholesalers, florists and other floral businesses, including those actively engaged in sustainability efforts as well as those who are uncertain or uninterested. Capturing a broad range of perspectives will help ensure findings reflect the full scope of the industry.
The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete, and responses will remain confidential. Participants who complete the survey by May 15, 2026, will be entered to win one of 50 $50 gift cards.
