Brad Hill, director of operations at Par3 Landscape Management, says that participating in the Watch us Grow program was worth the effort.

Brad Hill, director of operations at Par 3 Landscape Management, Las Vegas, Nevada, was one of the four winners of the 2022 Watch Us Grow program, sponsored by Heritage Landscape Supply Group.

One of Hill’s crowning contributions to Par 3 centered around an effort to build an irrigation department from the ground up. Now, after having some time to continue on that success, Irrigation & Lighting asked Hill how the Watch Us Grow program has impacted their business.

What made you initially enter the 2022 Watch Us Grow program?

I originally entered because I was a young professional in the irrigation industry which you don’t see very often. I knew I had accomplished a lot and was proud of my progress as an irrigation professional and wanted to showcase the talents of our team at Par 3.

How has being a winner of the program made an impact on your career?

There were a lot of positive responses I got throughout the industry: LinkedIn requests, handwritten notes from other irrigation professionals and great feedback from the local area. A lot of people were impressed and I could tell the article helped boost my credibility with them.

How has business been generally so far this year?

This year is off to a great start! The local turf conversion laws have been driving business and keeping us busy with projects throughout the city. Our revenue goals are being achieved on all fronts.

What would you tell someone thinking about entering in the program this year?

I would especially encourage young irrigation professionals like me to enter. It takes time to build a reputation in this industry, especially with so many experts who have been doing it for so long. If you’re young, hungry and looking to boost your credibility and professionalism, this is the perfect avenue to do so and something to be very proud of!

Not only does it spotlight success stories, being recognized can boost business even more.

As an incentive, those who complete the application will be entered into a drawing to receive a Solo Stove Bonfire fire pit, supplied by Heritage Landscape Supply Group. All entries must be turned in by April 1, 2023.
